French Madame in Denmark - Part I

As you may have read on my two blogs, or definitely on my Twitter if you're
following that, I spend 8 days in Denmark last week. I was there for
school-related reasons, attending a congress about psychology which is
my field of study, and I got to see some part of the country and of course
cultural Copenhagen.

I'm starting by showing you The Little Mermaid. There is a statue about
her in Copenhagen, as it was written by Danish fairy tale writer
Hans Christian Andersen who also wrote The Ugly Duckling, Thumbelina and
The Snow Queen among others.

She was situated beautifully among water, blossom trees and cruise ships.

Of course we went to Copenhagen's iconic Nyhavn:










And walked along Europe's longest pedestrian shopping street, Strøget:








On the street of Strøget, there was this amazing depart store called
Illum's Bolighus which the Financial Times has dubbed as "the best place
in the world for home furnishings and design".





And it had such lovely wall decor.
