Ladurée or Pierre Hermé.
I published the Ladurée-edition of Paris Photo of the Day a few months back.
Now it's time to take a look at the man who made Ladurée so big in the first place...
I'm talking of course about Pierre Hermé. A man who Vogue named "the picasso of pastry".
This is the inside of his iconic pastry the Isaphan.
One of the dreamiest pastries...
He has many boutiques all over the world now, but his official pâttisserie lies on Rue Bonaparte.
I have tried various things from Pierre now, among others:
A mini Kouglof.
A lemon tart, which I have also made myself with his recipe!
And various macarons:
Delightful!

Wait, is that woman standing in front of the store wearing flip flops? In Paris?? What's happening? I hope she is a tourist...
Hahaha, she IS! An Asian tourist who was taking pictures with her standing in front of the patisserie.
