So we continue the journey from San Francisco to my first National Park visit: Yosemite.
The drive to it was interesting enough already.
The different landscapes that vary every hour you drive further away from the coastline.
We stopped at IHOP to satisfy my craving for pancakes - which is insatiable.
On our first day in Yosemite, we drove to Wawona as it was close to the entrance and only had a half day.
Let me tell you: the drive (driving into Yosemite National Park), really tests your ability (or inability, in my case), how well you can handle car sickness!
Gee-zus! All of the turns had me feeling sick to my stomach.
But nevertheless, we triomphed the next day by going again to do some walking in the park.
We parked our car at Glacier Point, and walked down halfway the mountain.
The views at Glacier point are out of this world!
I wish I could visit it every year.
We then drove to Yosmite Village, which was just as spectacular.
And we saw plenty of animals, just grazing and relaxing.
Not to spoil the rest of the 'French Madame in the USA'-series, but Yosmite was my favorite part of the entire trip!
I just haven't seen anything quite like it.
Would you like to see more of my photographs? Yosmite album.
Next stop: Monterey & the Pacific Coast Highway!
Love,
